Project #173 Hot Buttered Popcorn

Built upon a base of characterful Caribbean rum, this naturally flavoured treat is brimming with sweet, silky layers of melted butter and toffee, and even has heaps of those toasty, biscuity, irresistible popcorn kernel notes that you smell when you walk into the cinema. It's delicious sipped neat, and once you've had a taste, it's bound to inspire all sorts of delightful popcorn-inspired cocktail creations. Nose
Well, of course, it's popcorn! It does smell like someone is popping some kernels on the hob while browning some butter, and enjoying a sneaky nip of rum while all the magic happens. Beneath, there are hints of burnt biscuits and just a smidge of salt.
Palate
Silky layers of buttery caramel, toffee, and toasty popcorn. There are hints of caramelised biscuits in the depths, with silky butterscotch and rich rum supporting heaps of inviting popcorn throughout. Creamy and toasty at the same time.
Finish
The roasty, toasty popcorn and kernels linger, with toffee, and hints of syrupy, buttery flapjack in tow.
