The Project #173 range brings together the tastiness of rum and the tastiness of... Well, all sorts of tastiness! Specifically for this expression, the quality core of rum has teamed up with black cherry to create a full-flavoured spirit bursting with tangy, vibrant fruit notes. It's naturally flavoured to bring across authentic cherry elements, so expect a drink that will most certainly do very well with cola, as well as being more than suitable for sipping over ice or in a cocktail.

Blackcurrant, cough drops, a little pinch of cinnamon, marzipan, mango, and just a waft of spring blossom.
Cherry Bakewells, brown sugar, more festive spices, a smidge of vanilla pod earthiness building, amaretti biscuits.
Softly tannic, with ripe cherry and spiced fruit compote notes.
Cherry notes galore, with a backbone of rum rounding everything out.

Does taste just like Cherry coke, very easy drinking, but can be on the sweet side, I had 2 long glasses full and then it got a bit too much. Haven’t opened the banana one yet but will review that too. Not bad!
I'm in love! It could be a messy summer!
This is a very pleasant rum to drink neat.
I like cherry flavoured drinks like cherry brandy and kirsch and love my rum so this seemed like a good buy. It smells amazing but that’s where the positives end sadly as the taste is highly reminiscent of cough syrup. Tried it with ice, mixed with lemonade and with coke but no just nasty. Sadly ended up chucking it down the sink. Real shame as the reviews were so good.
On the nose this rum smells like Cherry flavoured Tunes, which in my world is most certainly a good thing! Neat, Project #173 Black Cherry is rather pleasant. It’s sweet, has very little alcohol burn and is deliciously moreish from the black cherry flavouring, which although strong, isn’t too artificial in the taste. Mind you, there is a distinct lack of said black cherry in the finish, I have to say. If you mix this rum with Pepsi and turn it into a long drink, it basically becomes an alcoholic version of Pepsi Max Cherry. Which again in my world is absolutely definitely a positive thing!
