Description

The Original Dark expression from Planteray has had a little bit of a revamp! It's now made with aged rum from Trinidad and Jamaica, which then blended together and aged further in Cognac casks, which should impart some fruity richness to the expression...

Best rum

Good rum. If you are a beginner it's really good with Cola. If you are experienced, it's good with ice.

My first Plantation rum

A gorgeous tasting rum. Exotic fruits, hints of banana and toffee. No burn. My bottle lasted less than a week. I can’t wait to try the other range of Plantation. Easily in my top ten along with Appleton Estate Reserve 8 year and El Dorado 12. I love the label on the bottle. Lots of information on how it’s made. I wish other distilleries did this. I don’t get a hangover with this which is a bonus. So smooth and easy to drink neat but better with ice. The best rum under £25? Probably. I’ll be ordering another bottle.

Brilliant stuff

Brilliant stuff, very easy to drink, I’ve paid 2-3 times the price for some rums and this is up there with them

Fantastic value for money

Got given this for my birthday. My rum experience was limited to Bacardi, Kraken, and a few other cheap ones. This one though... Wow. Rich, deep, like someone said spiced banana. Definitely not one to mix with Coke.

Five stars for French Conac Magic, Noice.

It's French, so they add sugar to it, but that's fine because it's what they do when making Conac and it actually makes this rum taste smooth and rich and kinda like pineapple? It's definitely fruity. Also like the French! But you know, in a good way. Because there's lots of tasty fruit from France, even though this is from the Caribbean. And then they ship it to France and do MAGIC to it. Powerful French Conac Magic.
