Plantation Isle of Fiji Bottling Note

This colourful bottling is Plantation's homage to the Fiji Islands. Distilled from Fijian molasses, it's initially aged for around three years in the tropical climate in bourbon casks, before it's sent over to France for a secondary maturation in French oak for a year. A spicy, creamy and tropical affair, and a sure fire way to taste a sense of place! An excellent sipper, and it certainly stands up to being used in all sorts of cocktails. Plus, look at that iguana on the label! What a cheerful little fellow!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cooked pear, crème brûlée, candied ginger and just a touch of smoke.

Palate: Toasted coconut and fried banana, shortly followed by dried fruit and spicy oak.

Finish: Lasting butterscotch, peach and ginger.

Plantation Isle of Fiji Reviews

Lovely rum

I know we all have different tastes, but I can't believe some of the reviews on here. It's one of my favourites at the moment. Very smooth and very easy to drink, in fact, too easy, I'm on my third bottle!

Wouldn't buy again. Nice labelling though.

Noses and tastes flat and bland. Improves after some time opening but I struggle to get away from my first impression of 'wet cardboard'. Will concede it makes a reasonable old fashioned. I'll stick to Plantation's Jamaica Dry....much fruitier and much tastier.

Just when I thought Plantation couldn’t get better... this is outstanding. I will definitely be getting another bottle as mine seems to have evaporated!! Yum!!!

Exceptional in my opinion

It's THE go to from plantation for myself it's quite sweet as most of theirs are but sublime flavours come out. Warm your glass before pouring and let it breathe for a good 20mins and you will experience what it has to offer. Hats off to maison ferrand and the Co for this one

It's good just not great, it's got nothing on the likes of xaymaca but I would definitely buy another, always neat just give it a breather

Awful Rum

Worst rum I’ve ever tasted! I recently bought two bottles, one as a gift which I’m in two minds wether to give now. A horrible after taste like it was cheap alcohol. Not impressed

Fine fruity and deliciously smooth

I was intrigued by the tasting notes and the fact that this is a Fijian rum.. The bottle is wrapped with twine making it look vintage and little iguana is cute 😊 on the Cork I get banana toffee with caramel.. On the nose you hit that raisin scent like a fine fruit cake and I do get that hint of treacle. On the palate... Wow this is good a very fine sipper that I'd love to enjoy on a cold winters evening in front of a roaring fire. It's raining here today so that will have to do 😊 recommended
