A fabulous rum from Mauritius, flavoured with vanilla and spices including nutmeg. It was named for the Pink Pigeon, a bird that is native to the island and recently climbed from critically endangered to just endangered. (You know times are bad when being "endangered" is a step up.)
Spiced, sweet and thick with molasses, cassia and hints of clove.
Custard to the fore, with a little toffee brittle, guava and cardamom. Hints of nutmeg and cedar.
Toasty, charred oak on the finish. Very sweet.

Very smooth;Very unique taste! Nutmeg and Vanilla flavors come thru strong.Very easy to sip; sweet.
I like the sweetness of it and sits well in the stomach.
