A marvellous white rum from the Isle of Man! According to the folks at Outlier Distilling, "Hoolie" is a Manx word meaning "bloody windy"! We've heard there is a fair bit of weather to deal with up there, but it didn't stop the team from lighting up their wood-fired still to produce this splendid molasses-based rum. Charcoal filtered, it's an ideal choice for an array of classic cocktails.
As a rum and coke, I was not a big fan, simply because this rum comes with more than 'just to be had with a coke' kind of sass. With a Bundaberg Ginger Beer however, oh my days, have I found a wonderful combo for myself. Went really well with a daquiri as well, so give this one a go and be prepared to give it some experiment to find your perfect Hoolie application. It's worth it.
I first tried Hoolie by Outlier on a trip to the Isle of Man and grabbed a bottle to bring home. We've since enjoyed this white rum in cocktails at home - it's fantastic in a daiquiri - and makes a good long summer drink. It's a rum loving friends 50th this week so I've ordered another bottle as a gift. Something you don't find in the shops, fun label and a fab gift. Service from Master of Malt has been 5 stars. Hoolie makes a truly excellent daiquiri. A surprising amount of depth and flavour for a white rum.

So glad MoM have bought this. My go to white rum since trying it around christmas. Really bright herby lift in the finish. Good texture. Sustainably made.
