Old J Tiki Fire Bottling Note

A high-strength edition of Admiral Vernon's Old J Spiced Rum, which features plenty of vanilla and a touch of lime peel flavours at its core. The Tiki Fire bottling is presented at an intense 75.5% ABV - at that strength, this will stand out in mixed drinks and cocktails without using as much. Make sure it's well diluted!

Admiral Vernon's Old J Tiki Fire Spiced Rum Reviews

DO NOT DRINK IT NEAT

i think this is my 3rd bottle of this stuff, DO NOT DRINK IT NEAT IT WILL BLOW YE HEAD OFF, 150 proof bout 5mm in the bottom of a tumbler with a supermarkets own fiery ginger beer its absolutely lush

Smooth, subtle with a kick like a sledge hammer

Excellent tipple, nice taste, wonderful aroma, glides down the throat as smooth as silk. wasted on a cocktail smash it neat

Steady as she goes

Lime, mix it with a lime soda really enhances the lime kick at the end beautifully smooth. Have had several bottles and found lime soda to be the best compliment. Decent amount and wait for those chest hairs to sprout. Sensational.

Now my number one spiced rum.

Arrived today and I had to give it a try! My 1st taste of this spiced rum and it didn't disappoint. This has now gone to my number 1 spot of spiced rum, and I've got a few. Yes it's very strong but the taste is unbelievable. The vanilla comes over in abundance and the lime is in the background. You can drink this neat but not a full measure. Will go with ginger beer or coke to make an amazing drink. I'm going to make a few cocktails at the weekend and see how it fares. Trust me, get a bottle in!

Not worth the money

Bought this for friends to try, as I’ve previously bought Rockstar rum at 65% which they adore and drink neat. Unfortunately this was very rough, even with coke it had a unpleasant taste. I collect rums, however, I won’t be buying another bottle.

Absolute delightful. But be careful!

When I bought it I thought being 75.5% I'd only ever use it for mixers and shots but it is surprising smooth and tasty to drink neat. Whould recommend keeping it in the fridge as it serves best chilled. Be careful not to over do it when drinking this one because its deceptively strong!

Dangerous but worth it

Very tasty, you would never know it's as strong as it is. Well worth a try!

New favourite

Surprisingly smooth for a 151 and you need way less of it than regular drinks so it’s great value for money as well

Really enjoyed this

A really good rum to drink, a good vanilla taste from it but you have to be careful it can catch you out quite quickly and end up floored.

Good enough to enjoy over and over

Had this in a bar in Builth Wells, you can tell it is very strong but not unpleasant. Strong vanilla flavour, definitely one to enjoy and not necessarily lose in cocktails
