Arcane golden agricole Delicatissime rum is produced at Gray's Distillery in Mauritius. It is made using fresh sugar cane and is aged in French oak ex-bourbon barrels for 18 months before being bottled at 41% ABV. The rum carries characteristic agricole-style flavours from Mauritius, while the opaque bottle is sure to catch anyone's eye.
Aromatic spices and a balanced combination of caramel, banana, coconut and vanilla, with vegetal notes and a pinch of oak spice on the finish.

For a Mauritius rum, I don’t find this so much in the agricole style as, say, J.M., which is my usual go-to. Nevertheless, it is a very beautiful drink, and very fruity, with, I think, a touch of lime coming up through banana and is it loquat? It makes a lovely end to a meal (not cocktails, please). I am inspired to try more of the range.
Discovered this in a rum advent calendar and had to buy a whole bottle. A rum fan for a while, I had not appreciated the difference between Rum and Rhum (Agricole style) before trying this. A very distinctively different taste from average rum, the characteristic 'vegetal' tastes really coming through up front, with subtle tropical (banana) on the finish. Havana Club and El Dorado my usual go-to but this one really offers something quite different so will always be on my trolly....
