A Scottish rum here from the North Point Distillery way up in the Highlands, produced from molasses that is fermented and double distilled on-site, the rum is then treated to a one-year rest in whisky casks before bottling.
Orange jelly sweeties, brown sugar, Malted Milk biscuits, cassia, vanilla-rich oak and soft stone fruits.

Picked up a bottle of this in Inverness, as part of our trip around the Highlands. Its a nice balance between traditional rum, with definite influence from the cask selection (which is more akin to whisky). Miles better than a white rum, but not as full bodied as a big British style offering. So it fits nicely when you need balanc.e Hope this comes back in stock soon so I can pick up another bottle.
