Distilled in Barbados, this expression from Mount Gay was named for the 'double phenomenon' of a total solar eclipse and the passage of Halley's comet in 1910.
The nose is full and rounded with notes of fresh flowers and honey, a little vanilla and tropical fruit. The palate is fruity and well-rounded with notes of banana, vanilla, smoke, toasty oak, spice. The finish is long and spiced with toasty oak.

If you wanted a quick rum to drink this is what you want. Won't be your best rum you've ever had but it's good for the price. Would recommend

Had the luxury of a Mount Gay distillery tour. Had to get this one, very nice flavour but as a lot of others have said it has more of a whisky flavour than rum. But as someone who can have whisky because of the barley I am okay with this
Mixed full glass ice with this. Added little bit cola. Some slices of lime. Tastes like whiskey
Far too much like whiskey. Has no traditional "Rum" taste at all. So disappointed to visit Barbados and be met with this. I've drank many different brands of Dark Rum, White Rum and Spiced Rum but this was a total letdown unfortunately.
