Distilled in Barbados, this expression from Mount Gay was named for the 'double phenomenon' of a total solar eclipse and the passage of Halley's comet in 1910.
The nose is full and rounded with notes of fresh flowers and honey, a little vanilla and tropical fruit. The palate is fruity and well-rounded with notes of banana, vanilla, smoke, toasty oak, spice. The finish is long and spiced with toasty oak.

Go to bottle of rums for me, especially for price just so smooth especially mixed with ginger or cola. Really like my rums and had the fortune to sip a whole bottle of Ron Zacapa XO Centenario Solera Gran Reserva Especial (lasted me a month lol) but gotta say this eclipse rum at the price ....simply superb!
My first experience with rum was this beauty all those years back trying to be cool ina bar with mates drinking shots and vodka and wow it opened my eyes to a new spirit for me. Always have a bottle in the bar just incase a guest comes round as they ain't getting my xo
Gaaaarrrrrrr Avast ye... This is mine and the boys favorite tipple before chasing down a cutter and attacking her for the booty. Smooth like a sailors wife's breast and gets you three sheets to the wind after a few tots. The crews favorite. Gaaaaarrrrr.
Good with ginger, very smooth
This is a very pleasant rum which is a staple of any collection. Nice on the rocks, with a Cola/Pepsi mixer or on its own. Not too much of a kick or even much of a burn, which only makes it flow faster...
