Description

Motörhead - a band you're probably familiar with. Not only did they release some cracking albums, they've also released some terrific spirits with help from Sweden's Brands for Fans. This particular tipple is Motörhead Rum, a solera-aged rum from the Dominican Republic, boasting a big ol' flavour profile suitable for sipping neat or using in mixed drinks. You don't have to enjoy this while listening to 'Ace of Spades', but we certainly recommend it.

Great rum

Bought drunk enjoyed a second bottle now in stock for others to try. ignore the branding and the Motorhead branding this is a very good rum. It can stand on its own two feet and when this ones gone I will get another.

PAUL BROWN Aug 23, 2020

Maybe Motorhead but a quality rum nonethelss.

If you purchasing alcohol because you like the band ... nothing wrong with that but there is more to this spirit than the branding. It's good... very good. Not Diplamatico Reserva but good none the less. I am a big Motorhead fan and was worth a punt and will buy again because it tastes good not because I want to look at it on my sideboard next to other bottles of gear including JD!

Creation

Interview with Mikkey Dee about the creations of the drinks. "MD: It’s got our name on it, so we’re involved in everything. It always started with a product idea – what Lem or we enjoyed drinking, then also thinking of the fans and what they would like and want to see from us. We’re involved in it all, from choosing the liquid, to naming the products and bottle and label design. Lemmy really liked the creative part, he knew how he wanted the bottles to look. I remember we were in the studio recording mixes for Bad Magic when we were brought samples of the Single Malt Whisky – Lem chose it right there. It took three years of tasting to find the right one!" https://www.masterofmalt.com/blog/post/five-minutes-with-mikkey-dee-from-motorhead.aspx
