    Monymusk 2004 (cask 17) (bottled 2022) - Berry Bros. & Rudd

Berry Bros. & Rudd don't only independently bottle up brilliant whiskies. The team also gets its hands on exceptional rums from time to time – and that's exactly what's happened here! This is a single cask bottling of Monymusk Jamaican rum, distilled back in 2004 and set aside to rest until 2021. After that lengthy slumber, it was drawn from its barrel and bottled up at cask strength – a hefty 62.4% ABV. You don't see very much Monymusk rum about these days, which is a real shame, as it's fantastic, flavoursome, funky stuff. Only 250 bottles of this particular release were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Big notes of fruity esters, with ripe banana and zesty orange. Slightly smoky at points with a touch of snuffed candle underneath. Mellowing waves of vanilla and cut grass.
