This aged rum is distilled by Montanya, based in the Colorado mountains! Distilled from local molasses, it's been aged for one year in freshly emptied American white oak barrels that previously held Laws Colorado whiskey. Before it's bottled, a touch of local honey is added, because the honey’s acidity helps amplify the the rum's flavour.
Caramel, apple tart and chilli pepper heat, mocha and caramelised banana.
Really enjoyable as a sipping rum
Delicious sweet honey, caramel, rich spicy finishing notes. Great on it's own, excellent simply with a mixer.
Works very well in simple cocktails that allow the flavours to come through.
Spice and cherry notes from the whisky barrel ageing. Incredibly different and tasty.
