Description

Welcome (back?) to the Master of Malt Arcade. It appears Level One was too easy, sold out in days. So welcome to Level Two.

This blended rum inserts another coin into our CaskCade Collection, a homage to some of our favourite arcade machines. It's a marriage of aged and unaged rums from Guyana and Jamaica, and couples the molasses-rich depth of classic Guyanese rum with a characterful helping of Jamaican funk, accented by partial maturation in oloroso sherry casks. With just 245 bottles, we fear Level 2 might be cleared quickly.

Nose

Big and juicy banana, guava, and charred pineapple. Rum and raisin ice cream are joined by vanilla sugar, butterscotch, and a touch of fresh leather.

Palate

Gently fruity, soft on the palate with tropical fruit salad and Drumstick lollies giving way to a lick of sticky toffee, cacao, and oak.

Finish

Light but rich at the same time. Chocolate coffee beans, poached peaches, and an underlying herbal note, with cane and oak and just a smidge of pepper for the finish.
