Reviews for Chamarel XO Rum
Wow! What a rum. Lovely stuff.
Finally a rum I really like. I thought that it had notes of toffee, possibly toffee apples. That doesn't mean that its sweet but it has a smoother more mellow quality than other rums I've tried. No burn on the way down the throat. Really rich in flavour. Definitely worth a try and recommended. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that I'm sure that there are better rums out there, I just have to find them. Great as a sipping rum, wasted in cocktails.

Wow, amazing
This is amazing rum. It had the sipping ability of a very good cognac. Don't let it out you off that it's 'only' 6 years old, even the Charamel 3 year old is good enough to sip. It's an outstanding range of rums. Top 3 in the world that I've ever tried.

Great Rum
My first Chamarel rum and very happy with the result. So far i've only drank it on ice and it's very smooth and full of flavour. Not a heavy molasses rum seeing as it comes from sugar cane. It's not lacking flavour, it's more that it's lighter in the mouth and certainly very easy to drink on a sunny day while sitting out. Drinking it from a tumbler, I noticed a lot of very pleasant smells coming through, i'm not going to pretend to describe them and sound like I know what i'm talking about. What I will say, is if you've not tried a Chamarel rum and are looking for something a bit different, while still wanting something that is a bit special, give this a go. After trying this, i'd happily give their more expensive bottles a go.
