This is the VS expression of Chamarel rhum agricole, distilled in Mauritius using sugarcane which they cultivate themselves.
Caramel and butterscotch, juxtaposed by grassy freshness and a little cigar box.
Milk chocolate, cinnamon sticks, dried fruit and stem ginger.
Lasting honey and vanilla sweetness.
Although this is a Rhum Agricole, the 3 years in cask have taken the rough edges off it and the bourbon cask it was aged in have given it a good nose and taste. It also comes in a very fancy bottle.
