Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.

Loveliest rum I’ve ever tasted. Caramel, syrup, subtle hints of nutmeg, the notes resemble a Christmas market. Complex and smooth enough to be enjoyed on its own.
Fantastic tasting rum. Has to be drunk neat to appreciate the great flavours. At the price it is it’s hard to beat.
Picture this.. It's a hot day. Grab the Kraken and some Old Jamaica Ginger Beer and some limes. Don't be stingy with those limes or the Ice. Don't get Ginger Ale either, you want the beer with a kick to it. Perfect summer drink. Goes down so well. If mixing with Coke I'd prefer Havana 7 however. Have tried neat, and it's not quite up to that. It's a little rougher round the edges and it shows up when neat. But spot on with the ginger beer.
