It's another immensely zazzy limited edition bottling of The Kraken Black Spiced Rum! This time, the team has taken inspiration from deep sea bioluminescence to create a bottle that looks like you might find it lighting up the depths of the bottom of the ocean (probably best to just keep it on your shelf, though, mind). The bottle and tin also look like they've had a few encounters with deep sea monsters too, judging by the scratch marks they have on them...
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.

Fantastic bottle to add to the collection, the pictures just do not show how great this Blue appears under a light. Only downside is the Tax to import a bottle of alcohol into New Zealand is steep.
The bottle is lovely and worth keeping and I’m sure others have already mentioned using it for a candle light. As for the rum for the price it’s a nice smooth rum with a lovely after taste. Would I buy it again, no. Nothing against the rum but I don’t need a second bottle to keep. I’d rather try another brand or buy the standard Kraken.

Nice cage, groovy bottle and the usual great rum. One of the few spiced rums that doesn’t overdo the vanilla.
