Havana Club Añejo Especial Rum

(70cl, 40%)

Havana Club Añejo Especial

Havana Club Especial Bottling Note

Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blended Cuban rum which has been aged in white oak barrels, imparting both colour and flavour. Cuban rums are generally lighter in style, and this particular spirit would make a stellar backbone to any rum cocktail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Complex, slightly honeyed nose with hints of vanilla cream, buttery toffee, cinnamon, cedar and sandalwood.

Palate Thick, smooth palate. Good caramel-like entry with soft fruits, spiced oak, manuka honey and cinnamon.

Finish Citrus and vanilla on the finish. Bittersweet.

Excellent rum
Havana Club 7 is special. Great sipping rum. When finances are low(pensioner) Anejo Especial is more than adequate. My one and only rum is Havana Club

Very pleasant
Very nice with cola or lemonade. Very tasty, a unique taste, very easy drinking. A reliable flavour which allows for savoury snacks to be consumed with.

😍
This was on my list to try, came across it in a bar and was not disappointed, a very nice and smooth rum but also has a little kick, great with coke. Deffo a possible new favourite.

OK, for mixing though!
A little disappointed as I was expecting more rounded flavour, OK with a coke & twist of lime.

Currently my favourite Rum......
Tasted this as a miniature earlier in the year and have not looked back. I love the smooth, slightly oily (?) texture. Attractive fruit notes. One thing I would say, is that if you have had this and are thinking of trying the 7 year, in my opinion there is not 8 quid`s worth of difference, albeit the 7 year is excellent. The Especial has to be one of the best value Rum`s around.
