This 15 year old is created by 'repeatedly' blending the rums and aguardientes and maturing them in old oak barrels. Havana Club's Primer Maestro Ronero, Don José Navarro, describes this as "Cuban rum's great classic".
Nose: Honeyed and fruity. Peppery spice, floral.
Palate: Full, rich, dried, dark fruits. Dates and apples.
Finish: Something tropical with a little dark brown sugar and spice.

I was buying this in the Hotel for 9 cuc a measured glass. It is the best rum I have ever tasted so I thought I would buy a bottle in Duty Free on the way home. It was priced at 150 cucs for 70cl this was 0n 20th February 2016.Sip it slow with a nice Cuban cigar sheer heaven.

I've tried all the havana club rums bar the maximo (doubt i ever will) but the 15 is something else. the difference between the barrel proof can't be put into words. such an amazing flavour, yes it's expensive but you will not be disappointed.

This is a fabulous rum. Mellow. Smooth finish. Lingering aroma and flavor. Goes great with a quality cigar. However, HC 7 year is nearly as good and can be purchased in most Caribbean duty free shops for 15-20 dollars US per fifth. BTW, Angostura tastes like Captain Morgan. Skip it. Havana Club is unique.

This is pretty pricey and Angostura 1919 tastes about the same but a lot better.I've also tried Angostura 1824 which is twice the price of the 1919, but the 1919 is better in my opionion, even though the 1824 is more complex and has no drawbacks./Joakim
