The folks at Duncan Taylor are rather good at sniffing out a good spirit, and it doesn't stop at whisky – here we have a glorious Jamaican rum from the independent bottler! Hailing from the Hampden Distillery, this pot distilled rum spent a dozen years resting in a single cask, before a total of 335 bottles were released in 2022 for Duncan Taylor's Quarterdeck series.
Layers of dried mango, toasted nuts, rich toffee, and leathery oak.
Oily oak and bittersweet dark chocolate, treacle, with estery fruit aplenty!
Lingering woody clove and nutty spice, charred oak, and a touch of resinous pine.
