A particularly high-ester Jamaican rum from the Hampden Estate, bottled up as part of the Habitation Velier range. Boasting the C<>H Hampden mark, which is used for rums with ester levels of 1300-1400 gr/hl, you can expect this one to have a pretty intense flavour profile. It distilled back in 2010 and allowed to age for 10 years before being bottled in 2020 at an intense 68.5% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Lemon, vanilla, big helpings of pineapple and banana, an almost south coast Islay-esque whiff of savoury smoke, lingering clove and peppercorn spiciness from the oak.
