Quite an unusual flavour, with a slight saltiness, strong hints of milk chocolate and an almost peppery, spicy finish. This is a 'pure' rum (no added sugar, colour etc) and as the colour would suggest it is quite young so doesn't give the alcoholic kick you would get from a maturer bottle. Having said that, it isn't too bland and goes well over ice. Probably won't buy this one again as I prefer a stronger alcohol flavour, but will definitely give the 5 year old New Grove a try.
