A super high strength dark rum from Bermuda. Despite the 75.5% of Gosling's Black Seal 151, this is a very smooth rum, and it's utterly delicious. Well worth trying.

Every overproofed alchohol I have tasted before was similar to really extreme heat curries... They were there as a challenge but not for enjoyment, UNTIL I discovered Goslings 151. It is a ridiculously easy drink to take, a @Dark & Stormy' made from it and Goslings own Ginger Beer and slice of lime, is one of lifes beautiful pleasures, it has become our drink of choice, despite a cupboard full of Malts & Gins. Obviously beware, two of thes is plenty of a Friday night, but I can't think of many other drinks at the moment that are as refreshing OR as potent. We are very restrained drinkers, a couple of drinks on a Friday & Saturday night, but this recent purchase was our ninth bottle since September. Make of that what you will. Happy to recommend.
Initially smooth but with a fiery finish as you would expect from a rum of this strength. Use with mixers or as a base spirit for cocktails only would be my recommendation. An experience!
The best rum I've ever had. The first sip set my scrotum on fire but be warned, one sip too many and you'll watch the entire universe collapse in to a singularity right before your eyes.
Taken neat, it will rattle your teeth, loosen your tonsils and beat the life out of your sinuses. Which I quite like, and I'm sure I'll regain the use of my legs presently. A little water with it enhances the flavour for me. Once your senses return it has a lovely caramel finish but best of all... the wife hates it.
Rich, smooth and full of flavour, great colouring. Warm going down and packs a punch.
