Foursquare Epilogue - Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXXI
Foursquare Epilogue Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXXI closes the book on Richard Seale’s acclaimed Exceptional Cask Selection series. Distilled, blended, matured, and bottled entirely at Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados, it combines spirit from copper double retort pot stills and continuous twin column stills. Matured for at least 19 years in bourbon American oak casks and bottled at 57% ABV, without added sugar, colouring, or chill filtration, it's a release of just 1,300 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caramelised orange, grapefruit peel, toffee, nougat, and brown butter, with leather, tobacco, and ripe tropical fruit beneath.
Palate
Butterscotch, dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, baked pineapple, and plenty of warming oak spice.
Finish
Cocoa, citrus oils, polished oak, tobacco, and lingering spice.
