This blend of pot and column distilled rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados joins That Boutique-y Rum Company's Cinema Series. The rum began its maturation in Barbados, residing in a bourbon cask, before it arrived in the UK and was re-racked in a sauternes cask, bringing a softly sweet, fruity balance to the rich caramel and oak at its core.
Batch 7 is a release of 451 bottles.
Dates and sultanas open the way, with creamy caramel and sweetly stewed fruit.
Gloriously silky, with layers of soft apricot and peach, and a tangy touch of candied pineapple.
Drying oak char and softly sweet spices wrap things up.
