Flor de Caña 18 is a very well-aged expression from Nicaragua. This was awarded Double Gold medals at the 2006 and 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Spiced and crisp.

Palate Full bodied and quite thick with dry oak, some cocoa, spices, toffee nut and allspice.

Finish Long, tingling, vanilla spice and nutty char.

Tried Flor de cana 12 & 18 must say both are excellent straight up or with ice. Tried the 18 made as an old fashioned - sugar, orange bitters, over extra large ice cube with a twist of orange peel ! must say its the best drink I have had in a long long time !!! buy it you won't be disappointed.

I am not a liquor snub , the first taste on the palate B.S. I am a firm believer you like it or you don’t, personally I think this is a great rum best enjoyed with a good cigar , cheers

Lovely stuff
Always drunk neat and left for a moment before taking first drink, the process where this rum is created definitely has a unique taste to it, always think of a volcano while drinking after reading about the distillery being on the side of one

What a great rum!
My favorite is Flor de Caña 12 but definitely this 18 years is amazing. This type of rum is usually recommended on the rocks. The finish of vanilla spice is simply perfect.
