“I first tasted this while in Nicaragua this year, our guide bought us a bottle to have at dinner one night. Fell instantly in love with it - it is like no other rum you'll ever drink! Smooth and velvety, with none of the harshness I would normally expect from rum. I cannot recommend this enough - I just wish it cost the same over here as it does in the supermarkets in Nicaragua! Buy some - you won't be sorry...”

A top quality rum from the Nicaraguan producer, Flor de Caña. This is fine sipping rum, with flavours like toffee apple and buttery vanilla. We love it. We also love the fact that the distillery is certified carbon neutral and fair trade, using 100% renewable energy and offsetting any emissions through planting trees – a whopping 50,000 of them a year since 2005!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Hints of buttery toffee and cinnamon on the nose. This develops with notes of black pepper, gingerbread, and allspice.

Palate

The palate offers up rich notes of cooked apple and allspice. Hints of nutmeg, honey, and a little toffee brittle.

Finish

Toffee and custard on the finish. Long and decadent.
