Behold, the very first Brazilian rum to be bottled by 1423 for the Single Barrel Selection! It was distilled from both molasses and sugar cane juice at the Epris Distillery in 2011. It was left in a single cask until February 2020, when it was bottled up at cask strength, with 264 bottles weighing in at 56.7% ABV.
Walnuts, good coffee and sponge cake, with some tangy apricot in the background.
Chocolate peanuts, lemongrass and slowly-developing cinnamon and tobacco notes.
Grassy notes continue on the long finish.
