Here we have the first rum expression in Emperor Rum's Private Collection, which showcases exceptional rums with unusual cask finishes. The Mauritius rum is finished in oak casks which previously housed wine from Grand Cru Classé Château Pape Clément, one of the oldest vineyards in Bordeaux. It's then presented in an elegantly square bottle, complete with swanky presentation box and bag.
Smooth and warming, with immediate spicy notes fading into rich espresso alongside a pinch of tobacco, with ripe berry sweetness and a dry, oaky finish.
