El Dorado Single Still - Port Mourant 2009
El Dorado rum brings together spirits from a variety of still types, but now you can get a taste of each style type presented by itself in the Single Still series. This particular expression was distilled using the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, which originally made its home at the Port Mourant Distillery, before being moved to Uitvlugt, and eventually making its way to the Diamond Distillery. Intriguing stuff, fascinating to see the glory and character of each still type.

Strong esters coming through, with banana and a smidge of smoke, while sweeter hints of caramel carry it along.
