A great 12 year old Demerara rum from El Dorado. This has won golds at the Caribbean Rum Taste Test in London 7 times in the first 10 years! There are nine stills at the distillery, and this is based around coffey still rum, and double wooden pot still rum.
Sweet, toffee, vanilla, spices, oak. Hints of smoke.
Cocoa, caramel, prunes, spices, vanilla.
Long, sublimely smooth, hints of smoke on the tail.

Now listen ! This is By far the best Rum on the market , A beautiful elegant sipping Rum, with a lovely nose and depth of flavour . Very easy drinking. 100% my favourite. My brother and myself have enjoyed a fair few together.
Best daiquiri I've ever had. I dont like to sip many spirits so if that bothers you dont read the rest. 1.5oz lime juice, 2 oz El Dorado 12 year, .75 demerara syrup (more or less depending on how sweet you like it). Wow, gonna drink this regularly
First tried this in the Caribbean (Saint Vincent) just one word wow. I don't think you will find a better Rum and that's from an ex-matlow.
This stuff is bloody good to sip but similar to a foursquare 07 I bought recently you can only really have one or two glasses before it's overwhelming to a point and a want for something different arises. Definitely good stuff and one for the top shelf but don't drink too much consecutively in an evening.
