A punchy rum from indie bottler Dràm Mòr, sourced from a secret Jamaican distillery. The rum was distilled in 2012 and spent the following nine years maturing in a bourbon barrel, yielding a total of 198 bottles when it was opened.
Dunder, Spanish brandy, tobacco, banana and molasses, all fading to leave rich, overripe bananas.
First up is a distinct, dirty sharpness, dryer than expected, everything from the nose is right up front on the palate, the combination of sensations leaves an almost fizzing sensation.
Blackstrap molasses, ginger cake and tanin fade to vanilla and bananas.
