The first release in Diplomático's Distillery Collection, which gives light to the selection of stills utilised to make their ace expressions. This particular expression showcases the batch kettle still (introduced to Diplomático's distillery in 1959) and the style of rum it produces.
Warming whiffs of toasted oak and rich honey - it's almost a bit bourbon-esque in its approach!
On the nose there's light molasses, and oaky notes. On the palate it's much more dry than Reserva Exclusiva, but refined and mouth-warming with a balanced and very long finish.
