From the fantastic Diplomático Rum selection, produced in Venezuela, comes Mantuano, a blend of aged rums that takes its name from the 19th Century Venezuelan nobles, the mantuanos, known for their discernment and good taste.
Lightly charred oak, brown sugar, caramel-coated dried fruits. A good core of drying spice give balance.
$32.13 - $62.96
When I was a lot younger my favourite drink was rum then I tried various drinks until I settled on whisky for a lot of years then the las few years I’ve been looking for a good Black Rum and this one fits the bill a very nice flavoured black rum which I’ve enjoyed a lot and would recommend to anyone.
Very pleased with product. A favourite of my husbands. However the packaging let's it down as my husband picked up the package from delivery driver and there is no doubt where it came from and it's contents. Surprise present no surprise anymore. Packaging could be more discreet.
Agreed with Luxurious below - I've tried both this and the Reserva and outright prefer this one. It's tremendous in a daiquiri as well as neat; ideal paired with a bit of orange dark chocolate!
I like this one, slightly orangey on the nose and a long finish with a touch of coffee. Maybe slightly on the pricey side for what it is. I generally prefer Jamaican rum and find some of the Latin American ones too sweet but not this one.
Very pleasant sipping rum, rich and slightly spicy with a luxurious oily texture. I actually prefer this to the, much more expensive, ‘Reserva’, which I find too sweet.
