This particular spiced rum hails from Devil's Bridge in Wales, inspired by a Welsh legend involving a woman and her dog tricking the devil himself. Oh, and the cunning trick happens on a bridge, of course. Anyway, the rum was initially matured in bourbon barrels in the tropical climate of the Caribbean, before it was shipped over to Wales and treated to the addition of bara brith (a spiced Welsh fruit cake), Glengettie black tea, and Shirgar Carmarthenshire butter along other classic spices. A uniquely Welsh rum, for sure!
Buttery and rich, with dried fruit, bundles of baking spices, tannic tea, vanilla, and lingering cardamom.

Devils Bridge Spiced Rum. Possibly the worse Rum I have yet come across a flavour agin to the residue left in a jar where paint brushes have been cleaned in a mixture of turps and paraffin. So bad had to spit it out. I collect Rums, and have a huge collection from Pussers, El Dorado, Diplomatico, Dorly,s etc all first class sipping Rums around the same price. Honestly I’m confused how anybody liked this as a rum tastes more like grappa with similar colour incredibly disappointing if you enjoy rum stay clear !
Loved it smooth, rich and dry really good on its own also enjoyed it in a cup of tea didn’t last very long loved the fact it wasn’t sickly sweet. Just great
