White spiced rum? Now I've seen everything! That's right, the DeSilver White Rum is made with a selection of "secret spices" from St. Barth and carries a story about the pirate named DeSilver from the 17th century who apparently made a rum like this to give him strength and vitality. A bit like Popeye, except less healthy. You probably shouldn't expect this rum to give you any strength or vitality.
This is such a refreshing rum with a beautiful cinnamon citrus after taste, ideal for mixing or over ice.
I'm not a rum drinker but this is a lovely drink. It's like Christmas in a glass.
I quite like this. I've bought it (in St. Barths) for a number of years, bringing a bottle home per-year. Not as rough as many Guadeloupe rhums, and not as watered-down as many of the northern Caribbean (Puerto Rican, ...) rhums. The botanicals make it interesting, and it's great for simple sipping. (I prefer it for this, than mixing in cocktails.) Get it if you like white rum.
Lovely bottle of spiced rum. Delicious with pineapple and coconut water with a slice of lime highly recommend.
