Depth Charge Black Cherry

Positively exploding with flavour, this edition of Depth Charge Spiced Rum has been infused with the lip-smacking natural flavour of black cherries. Bolstered by waves of vanilla and Persian lime, cinnamon, cardamom, and mandarin, it's superbly dense and fruity, with hearty zest and spice aplenty. This is a multi-faceted and complex spirit, but don't be fooled – it's a secret weapon (sorry, sorry) when it comes to summertime Tiki cocktails. We imagine it would make a comforting sipper served neat, or even with hot apple juice after a spot of deep-sea diving, and its sticky, dark, unctuous layers of syrupy fruit and spice mean it'll work wonders in spirit-forward cocktails too.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose CHERRY COLA BOTTLE PIC 'N' MIX!! Bakewell Tart, Doctor Pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a touch of menthol, herbal character beneath. Epic.

Palate Syrupy sweet layers of cherry, toasted marzipan, and pink Flump marshmallows. Brûléed orange, cough drops, citrus pith, and bitter zest are balanced by waves of fresh vanilla.

Finish Kola Cubes, cracked pepper, a touch of clove, and aniseed, with a viscous, lingering finish.

Overall A strong contender for your next summer Tiki favourite.

Reviews for Depth Charge Black Cherry Spiced Rum
Comes out the winner
I wanted to try this one as I found Kraken Cherry really artificial tasting. Depth Charge knocks it out of the park - richly fruity and delicious with coke or in a punch, and no synthetic note!

Smooth winter drink
The flavours are wonderful, you have cherry, vanilla and a hint of winter spice. This can be drunk as it is or with a mixer to make it a nice long, refreshing drink.

Overwhelmingly great
Didn't think this flavour combination would work, but it's frankly wonderful - I loved it.

Already on my second bottle, wife loves it too.

Nostalgia in a bottle
I knew from the reviews that this would be a bit marmite and I'd either love it or hate it, I wasn't expecting full ripe cherries, but I've had standard Depth Charge before and it's absolutely packed with flavour so figured this would have something to it. And it does.

It does what it says on the tin, and as a massive fan of Cherry Coke, this mixed with cola delivered a massive hit of nostalgia and I really dig it. I'd say this bottle will disappear quickly.

Lip-puckeringly good!
Lots of sweet notes from cherry and vanilla - works perfectly with coke, one to try if you're a big fan of Cherry Coke!

Liquid Cherry Pie
Amazing rum! Tried with Lemonade and it was like drinking liquid Cherry Pie. But put it with cloudy apple juice and ice and its a winner. Fantastic drink but lethal as doesn't taste alcoholic - hic!! :)

Will try a gin next!
A bit of a strange taste, not bad but wouldn’t buy again.
