Crusty Juggler Rum

Produced in Cornwall and taking inspiration from the region's historic tales of pirates and smugglers comes this rich spiced rum, brimming with sweetness and spice. Caribbean rum is blended with exotic spices and allowed to age in ex-bourbon casks to enhance its glorious flavour. The name Crusty Juggler comes from a local legend from years of yonder – sailors warned of sighting a man dressed in rags, juggling driftwood upon the rugged rocky coastline, his hands encrusted in salt. Upon sighting the Crusty Juggler, ships were doomed to crash upon the rocks. We can't help but wonder whether he was attempting to act as some kind of human lighthouse and they might have got the tale all back to front?

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Dark, treacly molasses sweetness, leads the way with a touch of oak char. Rich caramel and creamy vanilla nestle amongst zesty orange peel, warming cinnamon, and fiery ginger.

Reviews for Crusty Juggler Black Spiced Rum
Grammar and style
"years of yonder" makes no sense. The word "yonder" pertains to distance. Perhaps the copy writer meant "days of yore" which is an English idiom that has been around for decades, maybe centuries.

Cornish Delight
First came across this in St Ives. I’m not usually a rum drinker and certainly not neat but pour a good good glug of this nectar over ice and you’ll be hooked. Sweet caramel and vanilla, cinnamon bringing a bit of warmth and a multitude of other spices makes this a taste orgasmstron….. oh and it’s not bad with Cola either.

Distilled Goodness
As I was walking in St Ives I met a man ...who made really good spiced Rum. I almost wish I hadn't stumbled across this stuff on holiday as, for me at least, they have set a very high bar for all others to be compared to. As others have mentioned easy to drink on its own or great with something like a good cola or ginger beer.

Definitely worth trying if you like a sweet dark rum!
Bought a bottle of this last summer in St Ives, and it’s a beautiful easy drinking rum. You can taste the treacle and caramel notes, and it’s easy on the palette. Nice on its own, but goes well with cola or ginger beer. Also nice with Dr Pepper

One of the few 'Cornish' Spiced rums actually made in Cornwall. Fantastic spice and not too sweet. A spiced rum for the true spirit lover!!!
