From the Copeland folks in Ireland comes this aged rum! It blends together Barbados rum (aged in bourbon barrels) with rum distilled in Donaghadee, where the distillery is based, which was aged in a combination of French Pinot Noir and quarter bourbon casks. Pretty cool stuff!
I so wanted to like this given my Irish roots but, to my palate and nose, it’s not for me. My preferred taste is deep molasses rums and also Cuban rum and that’s probably why. Love trying different rums and it’s in my hoard of over 40 but I must be honest, it’s not for me. Glad others enjoy it though. Service from Master of Malt bang on as always.

As has been said reminiscent of VAT 19 which is no bad thing. Highly recommend my local rum, well it is only six miles from Bangor to Donaghadee
Beaut number, cool to see the folk in Ireland smashing out the rum. The bottle is nothing like I've ever seen before. Unreal detail!
