Description

A fabulous aged rhum agricole from Clément! Distilled on Martinique, the grassy spirit was then aged in French oak before it was bottled up in this handsome decanter, complete with cork stopper. A wonderfully smooth, spicy and subtly fruity expression to sip on a warm afternoon.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Brown sugar, orange marmalade and gingersnap biscuits, with cherry jam, liquorice and a grassy, floral undertone.

Smooth Vieux Agricole

I bought this along with a Très Vieux Millésime 2002 and a Cuvée de L’Habitation at the distillery in April. I have not opened the 2002 yet but this one is comparable to the L’Habitation. I could not decide between the two so I bought both. lots of Vanilla from the time on oak in both. Young enough to still taste like an Agricole with grassy notes from the cane.
