Clarendon 10 Year Old 2011 & 2013 - Rum Sponge Edition No.25 (Decadent Drinks)
The 25th installment of the Decadent Drinks Rum Sponge series is an impressive multi-vintage bottling from Jamaica's Clarendon distillery. This expression combines rum drawn from a pair of casks, firstly a 2013 vintage first fill barrel of EMB Clarendon that matured in Jamaica until 2019 when it landed in the UK, and secondly a 2011 vintage barrel of Monymusk. The contents of the two were married together, before being refilled back into the two casks, allowing the rum to further meld and mature. One of those casks was cracked open for this release and bottled up at a robust 57.1% ABV, while the other one slumbers a little longer.

This lovely Clarendon tastes like receiving a face mask made of raw esters while sipping expensive cocktails from a cored pineapple and listening to rare and difficult jazz.
