Costa Rican rum aged for up to 20 years in a solera system of American oak barrels. Produced by Centenario Internacional whose rums weren't available outside of Costa Rica until 2007!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Rich caramel, cinnamon, smoked oak and grilled pineapple.

Palate Unctuous, notes of blackcurrant, cigar box and vanilla pod developing.

Finish Drying cacao and coffee bean.

Too sweet, for me.
Smooth but unbalanced. Far too sweet, which means nothing if that’s your style. Really wish all these bottles had samples as the description is way off on this one, got no blackcurrant or coffee…definitely vanilla though.

Nice sipper.
Bought this as a taster prior to travelling to Costa Rica, now I have an idea what to expect. Nice sipping rum, would be criminal to mix it with something other than a little ice. Now I want to try more Costa Rican rums.
