You know when you get toward the end of a glass of something delicious, and you just wish it would never end? The folks at Forgotten Gems are just like that, and when a cask nears its end, they'll shake it and squeeze it with all their might, to make sure not a drop of that precious liquid is left behind. Good job they got their hands on this 22-year-old rum from Caroni! A release of 65 bottles from the long lost but most certainly not forgotten Trinidadian distillery.

Nose
Burnt brown sugar and sticky sweet barbecued pineapple are backed by earthy, creamy vanilla pod, tobacco, leather, and a touch of rubbery oak.
Palate
Dense, runny caramel and vanilla cushion punchy leathery oak while earthy notes of maple syrup and stewed tea gather beneath.
Finish
Warming baking spices arrive for the finish, with sweet hints of dried berries joined by treacle, oily walnuts, and cracked peppercorns.
