Botran Rare Blend Ex Agave Spirit Cask
Rum and agave join forces in this intriguing limited edition from Botran in Guatemala. The rum aged in a solera style system made up of American whiskey casks, medium toasted American whiskey casks, Spanish and Portuguese fortified wine casks, and, most intriguingly, casks that previously held agave spirit, bringing subtly herbaceous, nutty notes to the zesty fruit at its core.

Nose
Rich oak, a touch of leather, sweet notes of cooked agave, vanilla, and dried orange peels.
Palate
Zesty, with hints of grapefruit and chocolate-dipped orange wheels, butterscotch, and oak char, with herbaceous honey nestling beneath.
Finish
Toasted oak, dark chocolate, balanced spice.
