Black Tot Rum Bottling Note

Black Tot takes inspiration from 300 years of Navy tradition! A blend of rums from Barbados, Jamaica and Guyana are featured here, with the complex spirit weighing in at 46.2% ABV. The rum is named for 31 July 1970, the day the Royal Navy discontinued daily rum rations, which is known as Black Tot Day!

Liquorice, brown sugar and a touch of funk. Fire and soul!
It's definitely young, but hey, so was the Navy tot! Smell and taste is predominantly demerera - Like a young El Dorado 15 without the sugar -
then followed by a bit of Foursquare's finest and touch of Jamaican funk.

It's fiery, but not excessively so, and its tasty and much more complex than most rums this price. And punching at 46% makes a big difference in terms of flavour and enjoyment.

If you like dry rum, and appreciate some complexity, I would recommend it. For the price, it's much more interesting than most, and has much more pot still depth than anything else at this price point that I have tried.

Packed with esters. Very nice. Slightly plasticy taste, but in a pleasant way.

Really tasty rum...agreed. not rough at all.
Really tasty rum. Felt compelled to write a review as I think previous comments are about a different rum. This is delicious, great value, lot of rich coffee flavours and a bit of spice. One for sipping.

Really good rum - not rough at all!
A delicious rum, nice blend with punchy, funky jamaican notes over a really nice rich body. Not sure what this other guy was drinking.

Rough.
Its definitely got heat, more of the cheap alcohol heat than chilli pepper. Glad I only got a minature, one for mixers only. Not for drinking neat! Rough and cheap tasting,
