Following on from the Black Tot Last Consignment, this range continues to shine a spotlight on extraordinarily old rums with the Black Tot 40 Year Old. A Demerara rum distilled back in 1975 in Guyana, matured for four decades and bottled at 44.2% ABV. Safe to say that this ought to be astonishing.
Its an excellent, yet very expensive rum. This is not one for mixing/blending EVER, so I guess the other reviews were making an attempt at humour. Its a very decent rum, full of dark flavours, one to savour with no more than a single cube of ice. If buying as an investment, go for the last Consignment as the provenance alone should see that rise in value.
An awesome Guyanese heritage rum, distilled in 1975 on the Port Mourant wooden still during the time that it was in the (now closed) Uitvlugt Distillery
It is nice and all, but it is no Captain Morgans Spicy Gold. Would probably be okay when used to make a rum baba.
Drank gallons of this stuff. Bit like Aldi own brand blended spiced rum drank from a sugar rimmed glass and a cheeky half lemon slice dropped in. I have mine with rola cola and helps wash cheesy chips down with ease.
