This is one of the first bottlings from That Boutique-y Rum Company (following in the footsteps of That Boutique-y Whisky Company and That Boutique-y Gin Company). This one is a 19 year old rum from the Bellevue distillery in Guadeloupe, produced using a column still. The label That Boutique-y Rum Company's Peter Holland, looking a bit lost in Guadeloupe. Holding the map the right way around might help, mind.
Batch 1 is a release of 413 bottles.
Fresh vegetal notes and pungent ripe banana shine through from beneath spiced ginger sweetness and a milk chocolate backdrop. There’s a vibrant greenness, too.
More grassiness and earthiness, then the banana and cooked pineapple take centre stage. There’s almost a jammy quality along with the rich cinnamon spice.
Those tropical fruits just keep on cooking!
A fabulous aged rum, rich with vibrant tropical fruit notes.
