A marvellous 8 year old rum from the Bacardi range, more than suitable for sipping neat, but also incredibly good for using in cocktails and mixed drinks.
The nose is fresh and perfumed with notes of oak and peels, a little syrup with a fennel note. The palate is sweet and rich with tropical fruits, peels and winter spice. The finish is gentle and luscious.
Not much smell to it. I was looking for a sipping rum. First drank it a bit cool and it was a harsh. Later I drank it warmed and it was very nice.
Smell: hardly any smell at all. Disappointing. A small smell of alcohol. Neat: very warming. Alcoholic flavour, not very spicy, little harsh aftertaste. With coke: much better taste with coke. Quite drinkable.
Personally I prefer this over brands like El Dorado and Plantation. I find it a smooth sipper but its all about personal taste, worth a try even if you dont like the name

Having tasted nearly all rum flavoured drinks there is this my friends is the finest of them all tastes smooth and great weather with a mixer or straight this little beauty has it all
